not.travis made an overhead installation for District 121 in McKinney. Color spans the walkway above the people passing below it. The studio photograph records the work on site, where blue, red and yellow meet daylight and the architecture around them. The installation occupies the path of movement rather than a separate frame. Its position changes how the colors are encountered from one point along the walkway to another. The work is part of a public place in North Texas, seen from beneath as people move through it.
